Learn the foundational elements and gain a deeper understanding of a safe, steady, and invigorating backbending practice in this three hour workshop. The workshop will begin with preparatory/yin poses to lubricate the joints, build into a flow sequence to warm the entire body, and then systematically open the shoulders, hips, and heart in preparation for deep, accessible backbends. To integrate the benefits of the practice and neutralize the spine, the class will close with restorative poses. Expect to leave feeling refreshed, energized and rejuvenated.
All levels welcome; prior yoga experience encouraged.
This workshop qualifies for CE hours for teachers registered with Yoga Alliance.
Class limited to 10 students to encourage and guide personal growth.
